Helping Brenda
Brenda asked for board help in meeting people that we need to be introduced to. Please tell people you know who should know about us to check out our website, and if you can suggest that Brenda call them even better. Get email addresses of anyone who wants to be on our mailing list.

Recent Marketing Events
  • Earth Day Event – Vi and Brenda were there and passed out a lot of information and talked to a bunch of people, and helped them do Vision Flags.
  • Compassionate Times went out in April
Programs
    Care Circle Programs

Marketing Material – There’s marketing material on Care Circle programs and if you need details on any one of the programs ask Kate and she can get them to you.

Toolbox – Vi showed us his outline for the toolbox and a framework for the Care Circle programs. He also explained what the full value contract is and how it could be applied to Care Circles. He welcomes any comments and ideas, and Kate will work with him on this for the next meeting.

Online Forum – This is coming up soon now as the computer is ready, and all we need is for engineering time to load the software and tweak it.

Take Action - Is a new program to help create Care Circles, but tagging onto a program some other group is doing to raise awareness on an issue. GHI will follow-up with a discussion group to encourage people to take action. We will be doing this at Real Art Ways next week after a movie on Globalization issues called Mardi Gras: Made in China.

      Spotlight and Fundraising Interest

Boys and Girls Club – Interviews are done. Editing has begun.
This might spawn another project and collaboration with GHI, Vi, and Jennifer.

Stepping up to the Plate – Book/Video
We have a grant application into one funding source and will be applying to others shortly. Jennifer may be able to assist with this once her current workload lightens a little.

    Computer Contribution Program

We are now ccepting ongoing donations

Looking for donees. Let Brenda know if you hear of anyone who needs a computer. Nonprofits, students with financial needs, and others who might not otherwise have access to this technology.

We’ve started doing Orientations to help volunteers understand what we’re doing, and learning how to help them achieve what they’re looking for.

Just gave 10 computers for a technology lab for a school in Nicaraqua

Hope suggested getting a flyer for this program.
